Taking a few days off of online poker since my meltdown the other nite. Played a few donkaments at work yesterday and won 64 cents. LOL. Going away this weekend, so I will be fresh and ready to jump back into NL when I get home.
Just ordered a new Cigar Humidor. Can't wait to fill that thing up! It will be here tomorrow. My friend said I should just smoke pot, since it would be cheaper. LOL. He is probably right. Humidor, cigar cutter, butane lighter, boxes of cigars. $$$

05/29/07 - Phuck Limit

Today sucked donkey balls. My internet went out and it took me 2 hours on the phone with some guy who I could barely understand to fix it. I was in the middle of 4 tabling at the time when it went down.
Lost $182 total today playing 2/4. So much for the limit idea. What a effing joke fixed limit is. People calling you down with pocket 2's hitting 2 outers on river, gutshots filling, just crazy shit. I tried limit seriously about a year ago, and now I know why I don't play it anymore. Hate is not strong enough to describe it.

Played some more $2/$4 limit today. All I can say, are the players awful. I was down over 80 at one point and then I battled back to -6 or so. I was logging off when I got 99 and raised with 5 way flop. LOL. I kinda like it though. Im a donk at heart.

05/26/07 - Macanudo Hyde Park Cafe
Thursday nite poker was a blast as usual. My buddy recommended a cigar to me and it was awesome. I used to be a big cigar smoker and I rekindled my passion when I went to the track last week. He also gave me an AVO cigar which was pretty damn good too.
I got hammered at live poker and it took me 2 days to recover. I bubbled again when I ran into AA in BB. LOL. 2nd game I called SB raise in BB with QJs. I flop flush. My buddy flopped higher flush. GG.
I saw the movie "Hot Fuzz" tonite to stay away from the crowds seeing Pirates. It was pretty good! The last half hour of the movie, I laughed the whole time. The action was awesome. I couldn't stop smiling.
I played poker tonite for the first time since Wed. I even mixed it up and played LIMIT!! Donk-it! I won about $58 so I was happy. I got trips cracked twice and KK and JJ cracked by Q-7 and K-rag. I hit some nice hands though and was happy with the win. Maybe it will help my NL post flop game.

-Played a little on Tuesday. Lost a buyin with AK vs KK. I Flopped ace. Opponent hits one outer on river.
-Then I played 2/4 fixed limit with a few of my buddies. Hit quad QQQQ's with AQs on the button. Broke even for the session.
-Played last nite and won about $20.
-Tonite is Live Poker Nite at my house. Stocked up on Kettle One, Pomegranate, Absolute, and about 3 cases of beer in cooler. It's gonna be bad. LOL. Boob update tomorrow.

05/21/07 - No poker weekend
Only played a few hands over the weekend and tried for the 10 billionth hand on stars. I missed by 3000. The hand hit on 1 cent/2 cent table and 2 people folded????? Idiots.
I got home last nite to 2 VM on my cell from my friend playing in the Sunday $215. He was going deep. I watched him and he did quite well and got 367th for about $1200 or so. Pretty nice score in my opinion.
I need to play tonite and tomorrow to take advantage of double fpps on stars towards my bonus.

05/18/07 - Davidoff Cigar
Just got back from the Cigar event at the racetrack. Pretty awesome. Got to meet the VP of Davidoff that they flew in from Switzerland. This guy was so money he didn't even know it. European high roller. I pointed him out to my friend in the beginning before we even knew who he was, just by his high roller-ness. He brought special edition cigars from the vault in Switzerland. Awesome.
The horse racing didn't go so well. I won $$ in 1 out of 10 races. I had no idea what I was doing. Our private tent was pretty cool with full bar, food, and being able to go down to the rail to watch the action. The Milf and Gilf action was nice.

05/18/07 - Arlington Race Track
Didn't play cash games yesterday. Had a headache and watched season finales of a lot of shows I had on Tivo.
Played 2 donkaments during the day at work. Went out with 7-7 vs 10-4??? and AKs vs KQ. I hate tournaments.
Going to Arlington Racetrack today with my buddy. I haven't bet on horses in like 10 years. We are going to a Davidoff Cigar event, so it should be awesome. Food, Drinks, and 4 Davidoff cigars provided. Goes from 2-7. High rollers.

Had bad luck today. Pocket Kings cracked twice today for about $70 total. 1st one was against pocket aces where I almost layed down preflop. That woulda been sick. I 3-bet and he 4 bet me preflop. Of course I smooth call and push on a 10 high board .
2nd one was that I ran into set of 10's. Got back to even then, and then I went downhill.
I've had a lot of losing sessions in a row. I have no confidence to move up to 100 level at this time. I don't have a positive win rate either. I need to watch more vids.

Finally cleared $150 bonus on stars. I am over $2500 for my 25 buy-in rule for NL $100. However I don't think I'm moving up yet. I am still a losing player at NL $50. Over 34,200 hands I am down -158.25. All of my profit has been from Bonus and rakeback. $1083 since I started challenge. Plus the last 3 or 4 sessions, I have been down huge on donk outs or bad play and fight to get back to even or a slight profit. Always fighting.
Take today for an example. I was cruising along up about $30. Then I got donked and ended down 13.40. I need to watch some videos.
I like the stars promotion. I have $125 bonus left and about 200 fpps to get to Silver, so I can rack up fpps 300% faster with the billion hand promotion. It will make the 1875 clear more like a 600 or 700 fpp clearance.

Played like a nit tonite. I was 5-tabling though, so I tend to tighten up. Started off by getting KK cracked by 44. It was a ragged flop and guy re-raised me. I check-called him whole way and he hit 4 on river. I played hand like a donk.
Also got in a raising war when i was in BB. SB kept raising when folded to him. I pick up a hand and 3-bet with AQs, he 4-bet me to $21 and I probably should have folded. Instead I called and folded when I totally missed flop and he went all in.
Other hand I get it 3-way all in with AKs. Both were 1/4 stacks. Flop is K-9-9. I lost vs 9-9. lol.

05/13/07 - Epassporte 3 - Awesome
Made withdrawl from Full Tilt today for $500 at 11:55 am. It showed up in epassporte account at 5:13 pm. Deposited to Pokerstars and got $125 bonus. Awesome. I just hope they don't close because 3/4 of my money is on stars now! LOL.

05/13/07 - Epassporte Part 2 = $500 Limbo
So here was the response from Full Tilt about my question of multiple e-processors. I was worried about having my old Neteller link to my Full Tilt account:

So the next step I did was move $500 to epassporte from Full Tilt. I don't have another Visa or Mastercard, and the bank account option takes like 2 weeks to verify, so I was happy with the $500 limit. Plus I want to limit how much info I give out.
So, right now I have $500 in limbo. Let's see how long it takes to hit epassporte.

So with Stars running their 10 billion hand promotion and me missing out on $150 bonus, I decided to open an epassporte account to move money from Full Tilt to Stars, etc. It's hard to pass up free money.
I thought about all the other options, like MoneyGram, Paytru card, for shooting $600 on there, but this was best option to be able to move money around from site to site. After reading some reviews on pocketfives, I decided to try it out. My experience was pretty impressive!
I followed Tilt's step-by-step guide for the epassporte signup. I filled in name, adress, email to match my account details at tilt. Next Step was to choose if I wanted to load epassporte with bank account or credit card. I crossed my fingers and tried my Visa credit card. It actually worked!
The next step was to call my Visa card customer service number and see what the pending charge that epassporte put on card. This is where it got interesting. My credit card asked me all sorts of security questions and I had to verify that my pending charge from foreign country was ok. Fraud prevention. Nice work Chase.
So I come back to account screen and typed in amount of pending charge and I was done. Next step was to choose how to load epassporte account. I just wanted to do the minimum so I could establish link with Full Tilt. I put $50 from credit card and got a $5 service charge, so the net was a $45 deposit. It appeared instantly, so I was off to deposit it onto Tilt.
I logged on Tilt. Made the deposit. It went thru in about 20 secs. $45 deposit. Link established! I sent email to support about having multiple e-processors on my account. I don't want the money going to Neteller OBV when I make my withdrawl. From what I hear on pocketfives, I might have to wait 48 hours to make withdrawl.
I will keep you posted of money transfer steps.

One of those sessions where I missed every flop, get played back at with every c-bet, every AK, AQ, AJ, missed. I hit with AJ once on A-J-4. Guy had set of 4's, but didn't stack me. The one weird thing was every short stack all in with my big pairs held.
Stars is running a promotion where I'm getting double fpps towards my last bonus. I cleared like 300 fpps which is good. They are also runing a deposit bonus which I am mad about. The old days of neteller was so awesome. I would load each account and get 150 max bonus every time. Just move it back and forth. Now its a lot harder. I don't have epassporte set up and I don't know if I want to. It seems like a hassle according to pocketfives posting. Effin neteller. Losing out on $300 bonus.

Garage poker season is among us. Tables are being moved from basement to garage this afternoon for Live game tonite. It's been 3 weeks since our last game where things got a little out of hand. As my one friend said, "Poker is now secondary." It's all about having a good time now.....and trying to see one of the chick's boobs that plays with us. LOL.

Been away from the grind for a while. Felt good to get back in it.

Got stacked playing poker with AA vs 99. I got mini-raised on a terrible coordinated board and should have bailed. Worked it back to 9.75 loss, so I was happy I guess. I played solid tonite. Very few mistakes. Won a lot of nice hands.
Worked on blocking/value bets. "Show me better" concept. Was working like a charm tonite.
Good session even though it was a loss.

04/30/07 - Still Busy
Went out of town on Friday. Came back Sunday. Had to drive wife's dad to airport after driving 2.5 hours in car. Oh yeah it was at Midway airport too, which is the worst airport in Chicago. Basically it's a small Southworst Airline hub located in a bad neighborhood and I hate going there. Roll 'em up. After 4 hours in the car, I just wanted to sit on the couch.
Today I had a tenant move out of one of my properties. They won the award for leaving the place the cleanest out of any one of my turnovers. That actually made my day and relieved some stress since I didn't have to hire a maid or get my handyman in there to fix stuff. Usually they trash the place.
I have another property being rehabbed. They finished today and the maids are in tomorrow. Tenant should move in later this week.
I can't wait til these places are filled again, so I can go back to churning wealth and playing poker. The rental market is HOT, so it won't be long.

04/25/07 - Not Enough time
I haven't played poker for 3 days! I run out of time and go to bed.
Today I added another property to my real estate empire. My agent had it rented before I even closed! Awesome. Now I have to crank out a rehab like they do on TV on "Flip that House" or the "Real Deal." 5 days to complete a loft conversion into a bedroom, cleaning, and minor paint. My handyman says we are ok. We shall see.
I should put in a session tomorrow. I don't want to get rusty.

Had to install a new graphics card on my computer. The good thing is that it allows me to have dual monitors. Time to get another Dell Flatscreen to go with the one I have now. 8 tables no overlap here I come. It's a sickness.

I found the biggest donk online tonite. He lost 7+ buyins at my table. He was a 76/51!!! It was so juicy. Everyone at the table had over $100 because of this guy. He raised every hand practically, so I tightened way up and waited.

04/19/07 - Craziest Live Game
Had the crew over for live poker. $10r ended up with $360 pot for 10 people. I got 3rd for 80ish. Shout out to my friend Dom for taking down the tourney again!!! He is an amazing poker player. If I can only be as good as him someday.
So as people were bombing out, a 2nd tourney fired up. Kettle One seven up shots started to get passed around in solo cup sizes. Craziness. We have 2 girls in our crew now and propositions were being made. Sacks got shown and nips came out. That's all I will say. What happens at the Kasino, stays in the Kasino.......

I just didn't feel my "A" game tonite.

I put him on a range of AK, AJ, KQ, all to which I am dead. I just felt wrong playing it from the start of the hand.
Off topic of poker: I saw Shooter tonite at the movies. Pretty good movie. Good action. No boobs though, unless you like Marky Mark. Not that there is anything wrong with that......

With today being Friday the 13th, I was skeptical to play. LOL. I took my dog for a walk in the forest preserve behind my house today after work and he got in the mud. All over. It was nasty. Plus we got kinda lost and overshot where we come out to get back to our house, so it was about a 1.5 mile hike when we were done. I was all tired and had to give my dog a bath. Kinda bad of luck, but it was fun.
Then, my wife and I go out to eat and she wants to get something at the store afterwards. I'm walking into the store with her and all of a sudden, I feel like I have to shit my pants! LOL. Luckily there was a Border's bookstore next door. I made it. Almost bad luck #2. I had to do the ammo-cough when someone came in. It serves 2 purposes: one to let the person know someone is in the stall, and two....to cover up the noises. LOL. Ok...enough poo humor.

****Today was a crucial turning point for me. After 27,800 hands I have finally gotten back into the positive for NL $50 6max! Bonuses and rakeback have been carrying me all this time and I finally "grinded" out enough hands and got pokertracker stats to be green! It's been a learning experience:
First I started out LAG with huge leaks. I figured out leaks with some help, and played pretty solid LAG game of about 19/15 after that. I was playing about break even poker though at this limit and was down about 8 buyins at the worst. Then CR posts the Low Limit Guide. I have been trying this style since 3/14/07. I think the nitty type 15/11 or 15/12 stlye works the best for this limit against the $50 donks. After about 7500 hands playing this way, I'm running at 4.34BB/100. This has been working for me and I'm gonna stick with it.

I achieved a financial goal of owning enough real estate to have a ZERO income tax liability. It feels good to use all the tax loopholes available to your advantage.

Tonite I won the biggest pot I ever did at $50 NL. I had nuts with 2 other players all in. What a feeling! I was down about $30 at the time. Ship it:

He falls into my trap and I had a decision to just call with the player in the middle or to re-raise. I chose to call and the middle guy went all in for about $5 more. The river had about $70 pot already, and instead of getting fancy, I pushed. I put him on a set but it was even better. 2nd nuts no good sir. LOL.

04/06/07 - Kettle One and Grape Soda
We played live game last nite. We made the rule that first man out runs to White Castle and gets Crave Case since we were all loaded. 1st Bustout hand goes 99 vs AA vs KK. Aces held and we had 2 runners for sliders.

04/03/07 - No Poker, Worked On Taxes = FUN!
Tax time is here. I have 2 of my company returns left and my personal. I feel pretty good though. It's all in turbo tax and it transfers over pretty easily. The thing is I added 3 properties to my real estate portfolio last year, and it takes some time to enter the assets in for depreciation, etc.
My refund plans are to roll it into another property, but part of me wants to buy a 63" plasma I saw at Costco the other day. Baller style.

Played a donkment this morning and bombed out after about 3 hours of play. Lost a key hand when my AA got runner-runnered for split pot when straight hit board. I was a tie, but if i won that hand, I could have made the money easily.
I got hit in the head tonite with the deck playing cash game. I had 1 cooler type hand and I was at the top of my rush when it hit. I was at +140 when this happened:

03/29/07 - Thursday Nite Live Game
Had our live game last nite at my house. I love playing live. We had 8 guys so we played a SNG and I bubbled. My AQ sooted on the button ran into QQ in the SB when we were 4 handed.
A cash game fired up afterwards and I ended up winning about $70 in cash game. We played til 2 AM so I am really dragging today at work. My stomach hurts from laughing so hard. It's such a good time and it helps me relieve stress from my architecture and real estate businesses.
This might be a nice 2 or 3 day break from online poker. Gotta take a break from the grind every so often.

One of those grinder days where nothing was hitting. Cbets getting floated and check raised. I made a comeback in the end of session as I was getting tired. Didn't know where I was at on a lot of hands.

Had a lot of interesting situations today. I got almost all my big pairs in the blinds out of position. Of course everytime I had KK, an ace flopped and got resistance.
I played a hand like a donk when I had QQ in SB. There was a raise and 3 callers in front of me. I called out of SB like a donk instead of raising. BB raised to like $15, which I thought was the rest of his stack. He actually had $6 left and I didn't know that. I called and he ended up having 7's when we got it in. I played hand awful and ended up winning it. I had 5 tables going and I was all hyper. Too many. 4 is enough. Plus with 5, I can't read the bet sizes on Full Tilt. So much for that idea. Of course I had hands on 2 other tables, so it affected my play. I shut down table right away.

DAY 71 - 03/23/07 - The Chasm
Cruising along nicely and get dealt the dreadful Pocket Kongers against my maniac I've been waiting for:

I've been running into a certain move lately. It's known as the "weak lead." Say you have AK on the button and make a standard raise. EP limper or Blind calls. Then they lead out into you??? What do you do when you miss? I tried taking the agression standpoint tonite. Raise it up. Seemed to work. It depends how strong their bet size is too.

DAY 63 - 03/14/07 - Tight Agg

With cardrunner's release of their small stakes series, which is awesome by the way, I am trying something new. Going back to the basics and playing a little more TAG style for the limits I'm playing. The pros always say in the vids that the tactics they are using doesn't work at low limits and you should play straight ABC poker. I used preflop hand chart they provided and played no brainer poker. I understand what they are trying to teach. TAG in EP position, LAG in LP. It's good to see the hands in a chart form, because certain marginal situations I wouldn't know what to do. It takes the guesswork out of preflop poker, which I like. That's how I started off playing limit, by making Sklansky and Lee Jone's Low limit hand charts.
I went thru my pokertracker database and made filters for the various positions for the certain hands to play and I was shocked on the difference in winnings I had. I know there are 1 million other factors, but I'll try out the TAG for a while.
Today, the hand chart worked out well. Hit some nice hands. Ended session when my flopped 2 pair of Q-10 got sucked out on river by K-6. He called me down with K-6 and hit miracle. I got mad and closed every window right away. Donks. It made me mad even though it was like $10 loss or so.

I believed him and the bet pattern made sense. He said he didn't want to go all-in preflop after my 3-bet because he thought I would fold a hand there like QQ. He was right. KK I'd felt it, but not QQ. I felt pretty good about this hand getting away from it.

Felt good to play online again after taking about 4 or 5 days off. Was just too busy at work to put any sessions in with a clear head. Today was solid. I was hitting hands everytime I came in for a raise. C-bets were getting respect and hit a few sets. Called session quits when wife wanted to go to dinner. Only played about 45 minutes and I was happy with the 1.5 buyin win. I love that graph.
Friday Nite live game at my house was awesome! We had 15 person rebuy tourney. $520 pot. Decent turnout. My stomach muscles were sore the next day from laughing so hard. I always have a great time with our crew.
We fired up NL $100 cash game when we consolidated to 1 table. It was awesome. I love live cash. We had almost 10 people playing at the peak. The thing about live cash, it takes hours to establish your image. I played tight when I first sat down. Played QQ, QQ, KK, and JJ. I showed made hands everytime people folded. Image established. My plan was working when I would come in for a raise one non-regular player said, "Here comes Jacks or better." It was time to switch gears, but it was 3:30 am all of a sudden. I was up about 1/2 buyin when we called it a nite. Good times.

Not Much Play
Been really busy with my Architecture business. I have a big job deadline that I can't seem to finish, so not much poker playing lately. I played the other night and ran into villain's set 4 times!! I managed to lose less than a buyin that session so I was really happy.
I'm having a big game at my house tomorrow. Should be fun, since our regular night of poker is usually Thursday. Friday = Beer + Pizza = Farts.

DAY 60 - Boring session
Boring Full Ring session. No memorable hands. Just some grinding towards clearing my last $120 bonus at stars. Ended up -$10.70. Hit a set of deuces at one point in the night to clear out a loss I had with AK.
Here was typical situation. Get AK in blinds or button. Limp fest of 5-6 people. I raise to to 4.50 or 5.00. 3 callers. I miss flop. I c-bet in position and get re-raised and fold. Or I have 3 callers with Fold to Continuation Bet %s of less than 40% and I'm first to act. Sometimes I'd c-bet and fold to their re-raise, or check and fold and move on to next hand. Stuff like that. Same low limit garbage. A few times, the villains showed sets, so I made correct play.

I was down 1 buyin right off the bat having KK vs AA all in preflop. I hate that. What else am I going to do? Then I had AQ and flopped Q rag rag. Guy went runner runner flush on me for about $35 loss. I was hovering at -100.00 for most of the session.Stuck it out and Stacked a guy with AA when he had QQ. I hands started to hit around 1AM. I worked it up to -8 and left feeling good about my minor loss.

Well, I was due. Had a good day for once. That will help with my confidence in this game and challenge. Played full ring on stars tonite. I also played another $2 WSOP rebuy donkament and won a seat. A while back I figured out a chart to $1500 WSOP preliminary event just by playing the $2 rebuys and unregistering and taking the $33 W$ money. It was volume, but possible.
Anyway tonite was going ok. Check out the graph. I was hovering about even and then I kept getting hammered and missing flops. 3 betting with AK in position and missing flops. C-betting and getting reraised. Stuff like that. Flop top pair against short stack donks and they push with nothing and hit miracles on river. Stuff like that. Blood boilers. Was down over 1 buyin and worked it back up to positive. Was shutting down and got dealt KK. And I say oh crap....

I won $33 this morning in a Stars Donkament and then blew thru a stack on FTP. Here is one hand where I layed down a set:

Next time I 3-bet donk on button, and probably get 4-betted by JJ in SB? If he plays it that way, I'd still probably call his raise to $12-15. Same flop, I doubt he makes that play after I show 3 bet preflop. Maybe the way I played it is the only way I stack him the way that I did.
Maybe he smooth calls my 3-bet from SB. He might slow down with the JJ then??

Do I start laying down my hands whenever I get resistance? Seems like everytime it happens, I am dead. But then, how do I play with no confidence? They had it everytime today.

02/25/07 - Live Game Results
Our crew went to a big tourney last nite. 35 people with $60 buy in. You started with 400 chips and blinds at $1/$2 with 45 minute levels! Talk about slow tourney. At the break, we played for over 3 hours and blinds were $4/8. I felt like I had to make a move soon, but my "M" was still over 30. I have never played a tourney where I just wanted to give up and go home. The tourney started at 4:00 and I bubbled on final money table at 2 in the morning! I bet they are still playing.
The play was horrible as usual. Everyone limping, no one knowing what the bet is or how to bet. Same people constantly asking same questions on how to deal the flop. People rabbit hunting. A guy ranting how he had QQ 4 times and every time he lost. Of course I get the guy on my right with a sinus cold coughing and shit all over me. Saying how he went for a cat-scan the other day because his sinuses were so plugged. Thanks buddy. Donk. I can't wait. There was a drunk Jerry Springer guest at my table bluffing every hand. He was amusing to me, but the whole table hated him. He was dropping the "n" word because I think he thought he was black. One guy was getting pissed at him for that. I just kept laughing. This dude was so gone, he was hiccuping. Plus he was so high, he didn't even know it. (Caddyshack quote)
On top of the slowwww structure, 33 of the 35 people were smoking. I am a non-smoker and usually smoke doesn't bother me, but after 10 hours of sitting in the smog, I think I had to burn my clothes when I got home. I got right into the shower at 3 in the morning so my bed wouldn't stink.
So, I work my stack up to about 1000 playing ABC poker all nite. Playing aggressive against the donkers with huge premium hands. We are down to 11 people and all my crew that I came with is knocked out and waiting for me. Payouts are horrible were its a $1700 pot and they pay top 9. Top 3 is only good pay days. I am painfully tired of the smoke, tired, tired of the drunks, donks, etc. Blinds like 40-80 and I have 1000. A9s gets cracked by 10-4 all-in. Down to 650 or so and blinds hit 50-100. It's go time. I'm in SB and a player I know limps UTG. I know if I push against him, he's folding. Cards don't matter. I have 9-4 sooted and push. BB wakes up with JJ and I almost win with a flush draw and 9 out there but no. I think I woulda cried at that point if I doubled up.
Then on the way home, we had to drive in 6" of snow/ice storm at 3 in the morning. My buddy and I decided we hate people in live tourneys and it's easier to play online. LOL.

I really put him on an ace this whole hand. He limped preflop, so like A-10 or A-J. Nope.

$3 bet with KK is strange to me. He is betting his hand based on strength. He checks the flop with nut flush draw and KK. Then he turns the nuts and checks again. Of course, I fall into the trap on the river.

Toned it down a little from 6 or 7-tabling to 3 tables today. 6 tabling is too much. All I was doing was playing cards and position, which is a good strategy for these donk levels. I felt like I was just pushing buttons and not playing poker. 3 tables today, I fired up PokerAceHud and concentrated on numbers, etc.
Played a short session and I was up about a buy-in at one point, until fancy play syndrome came out for a little while. Ended up $30, but I think 3 or 4-tabling is more like it. Standard stuff like AA vs 88 short stack, AK vs A2 sooted short stack, etc. No eventful hands. Might play a little tonite. Friday nite donks.
02/16/07 - Nightmare
So the last 24 hours has been eventful. While at the Chicago Autoshow yesterday, we had unfortunate news of a death in my wife's family. So our trip today was cancelled and we are now going to Seattle Sunday. Thank god for frequent flier miles. I had to lose our tickets for the original trip today. It was a $100 change fee, but the tickets cost $100, so it was a wash.
Thank god my wife had 100,000+ miles and I had 70,000. We saved $1300 using our miles for our tickets. Then of course, we have to bail my wife's brother and mom out since they are broke and give them miles for thier tickets. I better get good karma. $3000 worth of plane tickets for free. Or a nice christmas present. LOL. Of course I wanted to stay at the W hotel in downtown Seattle, but that was shot down since no one wanted to pay $360 a nite. I had Starwoods hotel points for free nights there too. So now I have to stay at Motel 8 type. Weee.
Autoshow was nice. Narrowed down search for vehicle to Acura MDX, BMW X5, or BMW 5-series. I fit into all of them and it seems like the No Maintenance BMW thing is swinging me towards them. Brakes, Rotors, wipers, oil changes, etc. covered for 4 years. No headaches which I like.
Posted above is a car I am going to buy myself when I hit a financial milestone in my life hopefully in next 6 years. Simply awesome.

AJs: http://www.pokerhand.org/?818346 . This hand happened right after my JJ getting cracked by 10-7, so I was steaming. When I look back at this hand, I think I played it like a donk. Flop a monster and decide to slowplay it vs. 2 people. When the turn comes, EP bets out, middle calls, and I make a donk all-in bet. When EP called, I knew I was dead against a boat. I hit 7 outer on river and chuckle. Quads. I never slowplay and it almost got me. I should have c-bet flop, but probably would have gotten everyone to fold and not made that much money. If the dueces villian called my c-bet, we would have gotten it all in on the turn anyway.

So then the next problem becomes, how do I get as much as I can from this donk?? I mini-raise and leave $14 in my stack, thinking he would just push. He just called and I was mad I didn't go all in. He had smaller straight and complained he always loses on the river. Little did he know, he was drawing dead on the turn. WEEE!

1 bad beat tonite and I was down only $20 for the evening session and about even for the day. I'll take it. It's supposed to snow here tonite in Chicago. I hope it snows 2 feet. I'll get to use my new snowblower....weeeee!

02/11/07 - PL Omaha Part 2
Played Omaha again tonite. Lost about 10 bucks, but folded best hand twice. It's a hard game to get used to. Everyone limps and plays any 4 cards. I hit a few hands, and won some nice pots. I got in same situation tonite like I did with Erbo. I flop nuts and get reraised like 1/2 my stack and draws hit. I folded today though.

02/10/07 - PL Omaha
Played PL Omaha last nite. I was up 1 buy-in and ended up breaking even after pissing away my profit to my friend Erbo in one hand. No one knows what the hell they are doing. I was playing $25 PL table, so everyone is playing any 4 cards to get lucky....like Erbo playing AQ52 and hitting his miracle after I flop the nuts. Drunk Donk.
I tried not to play dry AA, KK, or QQ, like KK72, etc. I stuck to drawing hands like sooted connecting cards and it was working. I'm gonna keep playing it casually and see how I do. It was fun.

Short session today. All my profit was from having hands like KK taking out QQ. Other big winner was me flopping set against top pair donk off. Didn't feel like playing today, so when I hit +1 buyin, I was happy.

Solid session today. 6.81BB/100 over 481 hands. Took it up a notch to 6 tables. Played straightforward ABC-TAG poker. My stats were a little tighter due to 6-tabling.
One Critical hand, I was gonna bluff at a pot when I missed my 15 outer when the guy checked, but I gave up on hand and checked the riv. He had AJ with 1 over out there and he bet the J when it hit turn. His numbers were calling station donk so I saved myself some money. TY PokerAceHUD.

Was down over $30 whole session until I stacked a guy with KK. Then I ran hot to be up over $30. Then my QQ donk hand came and pissed away half my profit. Still feel good at Full Ring. That's where I made my $7500 roll before and it feels good to be back in the grind there.
